Admiral Edward Boscawen (1711 - 1761) distinguished himself at the battle of Porto Bello during the War of Jenkins' Ear in 1739. His aggressiveness in battle and naval triumphs earned him the nicknames "Old Dreadnaught" and "Wry-necked Dick."

Sir Robert Harland: spotting and scuffing. Sir Charles Hardy: pale light-staining. Sir Thomas Pasley: trimmed to the platemark on all sides, one long horizontal fold through the title. John Forbes: pale spotting.
