Launched in 1891, the distinctive side-by-side funnels make Royal Sovereign instantly recognisable. The very acme of Victorian battleship design, she appears in many photographs of the 1897 Spithead Review dressed overall. She never saw active service, being broken up on the eve of War in 1913.
