1. 29th May 1808: Order to Proceed to Malta, addressed to Hoste aboard the Amphion, written in a secretarial hand on laid paper watermarked for '1804', signed Collingwood, ? ship's filing number on outer edge '15'; 2. 5th September 1808: Acknowledgement of intelligence sent on 11th July to Hoste aboard Amphion, secretarial hand on laid paper watermarked for '1804', signed Collingwood, filing number '32' on outer edge; 3. 23rd October, 1813: Intelligence report to Hoste aboard Baccante regarding the reduction of Trieste and Napoleon's retreat: It is believed that Bonaparte has retrenched to the Rhine, taking with him the King of Saxony... the Allies have crossed the Elbe in three places, and every thing wears a most favourable aspect.. written in a secretarial hand on laid paper watermarked '1810' and signed 'ThosFremantle', outer file number '33'
