the 7in. celestial etched glass globe secured to bung mounted on a lacquered brass pointer to 24-hour AM/PM dial, wooden base with makers label signed as per title -- 13in x 9in. (33 x 23cm.)

This instrument was used by filling the globe with coloured liquid which allowed it to be viewed to a certain horizon line and was used in the instruction of naval cadets in celestial navigation.

lip of glass around bung cracked, chipped , however neck is still intact, there appears to be an arm missing
