with oxidised brass 'T' frame, brass arc signed Shepherd, Leadenhall St. London, inset silvered scale divided to 110º, braced index arm with vernier and magnifier, two mirrors, seven shades, pin feet and ribbed ebony handle, contained in box with four sighting tubes -- 13in. (33cm.) wide

Charles Shepherd worked from 53 Leadenhall St between 1846-1858.
