A RARE SET OF STANDARD MEASURES FOR THE ADMIRALTY VICTUALLING BOARD, BY Rd. VANDOME & CO., LONDON, 1826

heavily cast in brass for measures comprising Imperial gallon; half gallon, quart, pint, half pint, gill and half gill; the gallon inscribed with maker's name as per title and complete with side handles, each inscribed with Victualling Board's crossed anchor mark, rim punches for George IV and dated 1826 – gallon 6.5 x 8in. (16.5 x 20cm.) excluding handle
