A Journal Of The English and Dutch Fleet, Commanded By Admiral Russel. "From June 23rd, the time of their sailing from Torbay, to August the 10th, the time of their returning to said Bay, 1691...In a letter from an Officer on board the Lenox in Torbay, to a Person of Quality in Chelsea…". A very rare booklet comprising the full account of the Officer, relating the events of pursuing the French Fleet for seven weeks along the coasts, and describing an action near Ushant, where 8 of the 40 French ships were taken. Lot also includes two small, original, separate and maps of the town of Brest and adjacent coasts, dated 1693, which were visited during the voyage. The account comprises the entire booklet, consisting of 4 pages (29" of Column Space in total), in a complete and genuine issue of A JOURNAL OF THE ENGLISH AND DUTCH FLEET, dated August, 21st, 1691.
