Modest fading to purple field, two or three lose threads lower left otherwise in fine overall condition with no evident of moth, unglazed.

Battley 1899' (lower centre) and contained within a contemporary sailorwork stained pine frame carved with oak leaves and acorns, including frame -- 30½ x 37in. (77.5 x 94cm.); together with facsimile copies for George Battley's service career
