[M] THE SIEGE OF LADYSMITH:

approximately...

THE SIEGE OF LADYSMITH:

approximately two-hundred annotated private photographs of topography and characters taken before, during and after the siege, including some of the Boer, pasted within a card album; together with an interesting album of Boer War cartoons; and several other albums of late Victorian colonial army content and a few later selections from the 1920's.
(a lot)

Although no owner's name has been inscribed in any of these albums, one surname constantly surfaces with differing initials and so it is presumed these are the family albums of the Macready family.

Sold for £1,116
Estimated at £500 - £800

(inc. buyer's premium of 24%)
