A DECORATIVE CARVED LAUNCHING MALLET FOR THE M.V. BOMI HILLS (1951)
the mallet carved overall, the head with company flag and foul anchor and with gilt-brass cuffs, inscribed for Fairfield Shipbuilding and the launch date, contained within a plush-lined carved wooden box with dedication plate to Mrs. T.M. Girdler -- 13in. (33cm.) diameter; together with a launching hatchet for the tanker Michael J. Goulandris, 1965, contained within plain wooden box

The ore/oil carrier Bomi Hills, launched 30th of August 1951, changed her name to Santona in 1969 and was broken up at Santander 1971; the tanker Michael J. Goulandris was launched 10th of February 1965, changed her name to Michael in 1978 and again to Ubarana in 1982, and was broken up at Chittagong in 1992.
