Built by Wigham Richardson (later Swan Hunter) in 1902 for the Telegraph Construction & Maintenance Co Ltd, Colonia registered nearly 8,000 tons when launched. Converted in 1928 to a whaling ship, she was under the name Sudmeer when she was torpedoed and sunk by aircraft in October 1944.
