A BRASS ENGINE ROOM PLATE RECOVERED FROM THE WRECK OF THE S.S. TRITO (1921)
cast in brass with raised lettering and refinished black ground, mounted on wooden plaque with label inscribed S.S. TRITO BUILT 1921 / SUNK 20-9-1940 -- 22in. (56cm.) diameter; together with five items from other wrecks comprising two hardwood deadeyes, one retaining metal bracing, a candle lantern, a speaking tube terminus with whistle and a boat hook head

The Trito was a Dutch cargo ship by Boele's, she was bombed in passage with coal between Port Talbot and Shoreham on 20 September, 1940.
