in red, green and blue wool plaid with White Star devise in white to a corner, each -- 59 x 63in. (150 x 160cm.); together with a commemorative set of twelve silvered White Star blazer buttons by Firmin & Sons in case of issue.

These blankets were allegedly used by the vendor's grandfather aboard the S.S. Gaika in circa 1915, whilst this vessel was built at Harland & Wolff in 1897, it was run by the Union SS Co, suggesting some Wartime co-operation was in place between the lines.
