the scale divided to 100º, signed on the cross bar as per title, pin-hole sights with swivelling shade and back-glass adjusting lever behind, three shades, mirrors and pin feet, contained within stepped keystone case with shaped escutcheon -- 14½ x 13in. (37 x 33cm.)

The reverse glass adjustment is not commonly seen. A similar but earlier version can been seen in the collection of the Royal Museums, Greenwich, numbered NAV1356.
