Newton 66 Chancery Lane, / LONDON., removable mechanism with 1¾in terrestrial earth globe signed BARDIN / LONDON with black and white orbiting moon mounted on rotating platform circumnavigating a gilt-brass sun secured to axis pin; together with a brass and ivory planetarium depicting the sun, planets with principal orbiting moons and saturn with ring, contained within fitted mahogany box with retail plate for 'Andrew H. Baird, Scientific Instrument Maker, Edinburgh' -- 7¾ x 14½ x 14½in. (19.5 x 37 x 37cm.)

Restored overall - horizon ring with repaired tears, refreshed colouring to ring and plate; mechanically instrument works well; box is probably original but re-finished.
