Lizzie Ellen, a schooner of 114 tons, was built in 1874 and registered in Cardigan. She was sailing from Jersey to Newport with a cargo of scrap iron when, on 28 June 1917, she was sunk by UC-65 46 miles south of Start Point, Devon.
