constructed in lacquered-brass, signed and inscribed Invented by Comr. Hay, R.N. & J.R. F.R.A.S. Southampton No.518 together with diamond registration mark for 1862 and Stebbing monogram, and comprising a 12in. rule with cutaway section, twin scaled circumferentor, three indicators with wire sights and a swivelling sight with sliding shade -- 5 x 12in. (13 x 30.5cm.)
