A WELL-PRESENTED 1:48 SCALE WOOD AND METAL STATIC DISPLAY MODEL OF THE TRAWLER ROSS HERON (1961)
modelled by A.E. Walker with laminated and carved hull, planked deck with painted fittings and glazed superstructure as appropriate, masts, rigging and lifeboat on crane, secured to a wooden display base with legend and Plexiglas cover. Overall measurements -- 21¼ x 37½ x 10½in. (54 x 95 x 26.5cm.)

A fishing trawler built in 1961 by Cochrane and Sons Ltd., Ross Heron was registered at 288 gross tons. Originally owned by Ross Trawlers Ltd. in Grimsby, she changed hands several times until 1981 when Dagon Fishing Co. Ltd. renamed her Mustique. She was scrapped in September 1991.
