LORD COCHRANE'S SAILORS AND MARINES HELP DEFEND ROSAS

report from Cochrane on H.M.S. Imperieuse on his efforts to hold up the French advance into Spain: The garrison (of the citadel) then considered at about 80 Spaniards on the point of surrendering, accordingly I threw myself into it with 50 Seamen and 30 Marines.
Notwithstanding the Citadel of Rosas capitulated at 12 o'clock this day…we embarked.
13cm. of column space, page 2, column 3, in a complete issue of The Times, for the 13th of March,1809; Also:- French report on the Battle of Corunna from the Moniteur. Notes upon General Hope's letter to Sir D. Baird previously published in the London Gazette Extraordinary dated the 24th of January,1809, 54 cm. of column space, page 2, columns 4-5, on the 24th of January, 1809.
