signed on the sighting tube and stand as per title, the 36in. main tube with rack-and-pinion eyepiece assembly and star finder, mounted on substantial tripod stand with screw-adjustment, contained within a fitted wooden box with accessories including conventional eyepieces and solar diagonal and retail trade label for C. Baker, Holborn, cased measurements -- 9½ x 52 x 14in. (24 x 132 x 35.5cm.)

Condition Report

Optically correct when tested with solar diagonal; accessories include three eye pieces and four coloured glass insert filters; a clock key has been used in place of turning rods; internal securing lugs for stand are loose. Finish is still very good with excellent lacquering in evidence, box is a little scuffed with age and has had the lock forced at some point.
