A VICTORIAN SILVER ROSE BOWL, SHEFFIELD, 1896

oval shaped, engraved with a view of the Cripplegate to one side and presentation inscribed to the other, between rich scroll foliate chasing and above batswing fluting, the end handles cast as winged herms, the foot with further chasing and later inscription from the Felton family, 1983, with wirework grille, Sheffield hallmarks for Walker & Hall, 1896 -- 18½in. (47cm.) long; 2.95kg; together with an ebonised pedestal stand and storage box
