Commissioned on 10 November 1927, H.M.S. Rodney was a 'Nelson' class battleship. She played a major role in the sinking of the German battleship Bismarck, in May of 1941 along with King George V, Norfolk, and Dorsetshire. Having only been updated once, Rodney became the Flagship of the Home Fleet in 1944 and rarely left her mooring. She was sold for scrap in May 1948.
