unmarked, in the form of a fan with naval crown and name applied to front -- 4in. (10cm.) diameter; together with a Victorian silver egg cup stamped 'KG5', marked for 1876; two mess napkin rings engraved with officers' names and ships served, one marked London 1915; a small menu holder of a ship, marked for 1897; two 19th-century sweetheart brooches in silver and gilt metal for H.M.Ships. Millbrook and Cumberland; and three stationery die stamps for different ships

H.M.S. Magdala was a turret ship built at Blackwell in 1870. serving in India until broken up in 1903. This menu holder is Indian silver and was clearly made for the officers' mess.
