The battleship in the distance is either H.M.S. Encounter or H.M.S. Challenger - the only three-funnelled battleships on the Australian station at the time. Dunreggan was a steel barque of 1,630 tons built in 1892 by the Ailsa Shipbuilding Co. of Troon. She is absent from the register by 1914.
