Turned walnut: glue run near connection with head suggests that leather is weak/reattached; head has several shrinkage cracks running vertically; handle likewise has two or three shrinkage cracks but is in sound overall condition.
Oak example: leather connecting strap is worn but intact, otherwise condition overall is good.
Twine example: apart from some rub marks to the head, overall condition is very good.
