It has been suggested that this set of images, all painted on the same sheet with faux frames, represent the service of a now unknown officer. From top left they read: Bristol, 1871; Sultan 1876-1878; Ariadne 1871-1872; Eurylaus 1879-1882; Active 1885-1886; Invincible 1872-1875; Rapid 1882-1883; H.M.S. Impèrieuse XVII Knots 1887; Black Prince 1878; Osborne 1884-1885

Some time staining and old back board burning commensurate with age. Now re-framed on an acid-free mount.
